<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire curing apparatus capable, in the postcure process, of improving the (different) progress of vulcanization degree of a tire due to the temperature difference of the upper and lower parts and enhancing quality, and to provide a curing method. <P>SOLUTION: The tire curing apparatus performs the postcure by cooling a pneumatic tire 1 just after the curing to a predetermined temperature, in the state that the axis of the tire is directed to the upper and lower directions and that the closed tire cavity part 7 is filled with a gas to inflate. The apparatus is equipped with temperature sensors 12, 13 which detect temperatures of the tire surfaces 11 located in the upside and the lower side of the equator face EQ of the pneumatic tire 1, an agitating means 15 which agitates the gas in the tire cavity part 7, and a controlling means 16 which controls the agitating means 15 based on the temperatures detected by the temperature sensors 12, 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
