FULLERENE DERIVATIVE, FULLERENE METAL COMPLEX AND THEIR PRODUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new fullerene derivative and a fullerene metal complex, and to provide their production methods. SOLUTION: The septuple addition fullerene derivative and its metal complex are obtained by reacting an organic halogen compound with an intermediate to introduce additional two organic groups on the fullerene skeleton, wherein the intermediate is obtained by reacting an alkali metal with a fullerene derivative and its metal complex which derivative is bonded with five organic groups on its fullerene skeleton (in the followings, named quintuple addition fullerene). And the octuple addition fullerene derivative and its metal complex are obtained by reacting an organic metal reagent with the septuple addition fullerene derivative and its metal complex.
