PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent fuel from overflowing due to excessive oil supply amount by identifying a boundary between a lower end section of a filler opening and an upper surface section of a tank body, in a filler opening filter for a fuel tank structured so that the bottom of the filter fitted in the filler opening may protrude from the lower end section of the filler opening to the inside of the tank body. SOLUTION: An upper face flange 4a of the cup-like filter 4 is supported by mounting a support member 3 on an inner wall section of the filler opening 2. On a side surface of the filter 4, there is provided a boundary identification device constituted by forming a boundary line 10 visible from above the filler opening 2 at a boundary position 6 between the lower end 2a of the filler opening and upper surface section 1a of the tank body.
