PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a moving object free from a constraint of a sensor attaching position to enhance reliability about diagnosis. SOLUTION: The sensor 1 comprising a microphone, a vibration sensor or the like is provided in an optional position inside the moving body, and a computer (arithmetic processing unit) constituting this vehicle abnormality diagnosis apparatus 3 acquires sounds in the moving body, and analyzes independent components to separate the sounds and to specify a sound source position. A place of diagnostic component in a position other than the vicinity of an installation position of the sensor 1 is also specified, and a signal intensity in an optional place inside the moving body is estimated to issue an alarm as to riding comfortability and a noise.
