PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a running out of film-alarming mechanism capable of surely detecting mulching film and informing a worker that the film is going to be running out before the mulching film runs out, and thereby, improving the working property of the mulching film-covering work. SOLUTION: This running out of mulching film-alarming mechanism 200 applied for a mulching film-covering device 100 for covering soil with the mulching film F delivered from a mulching film roll 140 is equipped with a member 210 to be detected, an energizing member 220, a sensor member 230 and an alarming member 240. The member 210 to be detected is constituted so as to take an abutment posture when the roll diameter d is at or larger than a prescribed value d', and take a released posture when the roll diameter d becomes lower than the prescribed value d', and the alarming member 240 transmits the alarm based on the detection of the released posture by the sensor member 230.
