FIELD: testing electrical machines for investigating their static and dynamic characteristics. ^ SUBSTANCE: synchronous tachometer generator is used as speed sensor. Drive motor is mechanically coupled with electrical machine under test and with synchronous tachometer generator. Power unit thyristors are connected into three-phase rectifier circuit whose input is connected to supply mains and output plus and minus, to drive motor armature; mode-of-synchronization selector switch is connected through output contacts to control unit synchronizer. ^ EFFECT: enlarge speed control range of electrical machine. ^ 12 cl, 2 dwg
