PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher capable of being set without trouble at a place where there is a shelf or other set objects above, with excellent handleability for a user to easily store/take out the dishes and to close a door with small force. SOLUTION: The door 42 consists of a lower door 43 and an upper door 44 which are laid flat on the lower side of an opening part of a body 41 when the door is opened, and a handle part (a closing operation part) 53 for closing the door 42 is provided on the upper door 44. Accordingly, even if the dishwasher is set in a place where there is a shelf or other set objects above, the door 42 will not hit the shelf or other set objects when the door 42 is opened, and the dishwasher can be set without trouble in such places. Furthermore, the dishes can be easily taken out/in without being hindered by the door 42 when the door is opened. In addition, as the door 42 is closed by raising the upper door 44 and the lower door 43 with the operation of the handle part 53, the door 42 can be closed with small force to achieve the excellent handleability.
