MANTLE AND SPRING CLIP ASSEMBLY

A mantle assembly includes a mantle having at least one open end and a spring clip at the open end far attaching the open end of the mantle to the burner assembly of a lantern. The spring clip includes a generally circular central portion which surrounds the mantle opening and a pair of end portions. The end portions are movable between first and second positions for changing the size of the opening of the central portion. The mantle can have a generally tubular shape with a pair of open ends, and a spring clip surrounds each open end.
