PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer system which extracts display data from a computer, converts the data to an image file, and stores the file in a storage device. SOLUTION: The data transfer system comprises a display device which extracts the display data having a header code at the head of a frame from the computer, converts the data to an image file, and stores the file in the storage device, and a frame memory that is dedicated for picture capture and arranged in the display device. In the system, display data writing is conducted for each frame, display data writing is prohibited from the frame next to the frame in which the header code is detected, the display data in the frame memory are read and the data are stored in the storage device as the image file.
