PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray apparatus reducing the burdens of both of a supporter and a subject and capable of radiographing the subject even in a sitting posture. SOLUTION: This X-ray apparatus is provided with an X-ray generation part 140, an X-ray image receiving part 150 visualizing the X-ray emitted from the X-ray generation part 140 and penetrated the subject A, and a support mechanism supporting the X-ray generation part 140 and the X-ray image receiving part 150. This X-ray apparatus is further provided with a first lifting mechanism 160 capable of moving a mount surface (a base 164) of the subject A to a position higher than the installation face of the support mechanism with the subject A in the sitting posture positioned between the X-ray generation part 140 and the X-ray image receiving part 150.
