PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content recorder capable of appropriately recording both of a re-acquirable content and an another content that re-acquisition is impossible. SOLUTION: The recorder 10 includes a CPU 34. When an instruction to start a broadcast recording operation is issued at the middle of re-encode (RE) dubbing, the RE dubbing process is interrupted by a CPU 34, and the timing information capable of specifying an interruption timing is held in a flash memory 36 to start a broadcast recording process. After that, namely when an instruction to stop the broadcast recording operation is issued in the state the RE dubbing process is interrupted, the RE dubbing process is restarted by the CPU 34 in accordance with the timing information held in the flash memory 36.
