PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for driving a lens capable of easily correcting slippage of focus position at the time of manual focusing operation, and to provide a program for driving the lens and a storage medium. SOLUTION: An imaging device 100 is provided with a focus lens position detecting circuit 201 for detecting a focus lens position A6, a focus lens driving range setting circuit 202 for calculating and setting a focus lens driving range A4, and a focus lens driving circuit 121 comprising a focus lens driving amount calculation circuit 203 for calculating a focus lens driving amount A7. At the time of manual focusing operation, the focus lens driving range setting circuit 202 sets the focus lens driving range A4 so as to expand both ends (the furthest end and the nearest end) of a focus lens initial driving range A2 by a chromatic aberration correcting amount A3 in the distant side direction and the near side direction, respectively.
