PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographic apparatus that allows photographing in a photographing box that has an atmosphere quite different from that of a conventional photographing box. SOLUTION: The photographic apparatus 1 includes: a housing 2 having various devices on its front, sides and inside; a back unit 3; and a side curtain 4. A space surrounded by them functions as a photographing space (photographing box) 8 for forming a photographing area. The entire housing functions as one illuminating section by providing the illuminating section for illuminating a subject and the photographing space, on an internal wall, from the front of the housing 2 to the entrance/exit (41) of the photographing space 8. This gives a user such an impression that photographing takes place in a space (room) surrounded by light, which is quite different from the impression given by a conventional photographic apparatus. In addition, even if outside light enters from the entrance/exit, the effect of the outside light on the camera can be restricted by shifting the position of the entrance/exit (41) away from the position of the camera.
