<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission apparatus and an optical control method capable of suppressing deterioration of noise factor after optical amplification with a simple configuration and controlling even if input level of signal light fractuates widely. <P>SOLUTION: An optical amplifier 100 comprises a variable optical attenuator 1 which attenuates signal light in variable manner, an optical amplification part 5b which amplifies signal light, and an annular optical line 50 which sends the signal light from the optical amplification part 5b back to the variable optical attenuator 1 which attenuates the returned signal light in variable manner. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
