<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for starting electronic equipment equipped with an IEEE1394 interface whose standby power is small and its electronic equipment. <P>SOLUTION: During the standby status of IDDD1394 system equipment 40, power is supplied from a sub-power source 411, and power is supplied only to a terminal side start processing chip 47. Meanwhile, at starting, a start command signal is outputted from a navigation device 1, and the start command signal is received by a terminal side start processing chip 47.
