Coloured regenerated cellulose shaped products such as filaments and films are produced by extruding into an aqueous acid coagulating bath a viscose in which has been incorporated a water-soluble organic dye-other than a sulphur dye-containing at least two thiosulphuric acid groups but no additional watersolubilizing groups in the molecule, in the form of an aqueous solution or of an aqueous sussuspension of a water-insoluble pigment obtained by treating the dye with a condensing agent such as an alkali sulphide. Suitable dyes include dyes of the azo-, anthraquinone-, acridone-, phenazine-, dioxazine-, diphenylmethane-, triphenylmethane-, nitro- and phthalocyanine series. Vat dyes containing thiosulphuric acid groups are likewise applicable. The thiosulphuric acid groups may be linked to the nuclei of the dye molecules either directly or through intermediate aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon radicals which may be substituted or interrupted by hetero-atoms. The dye used in one example is obtained by the condensation of copper phthalocyanine trisulphochloride with 3 mols. of 2-aminoethylthiosulphuric acid and is metered into the viscose in the form of an aqueous solution. In another -example the same dye is first converted into a polycondensate insoluble in water by adding sodium sulphite to an aqueous solution of the dye and of ureu and pouring the mixture into an aqueous solution of sodium sulphate. The resulting polycondensate of the dye is thereby precipitated and after being filtered off and washed is metered into viscose in the form of an aqueous suspension. In the third example, there is metered into viscose in the form of an aqueous solution containing also urea a dye having the formula
