Antenna for a wireless communication system with an antenna element of conductive material, located a distance from a ground plane of electrical conductive material, where the antenna element connects by ground and radio signal and where the antenna element has at least one hole. Antennas of this type emit an omni directional electromagnetic field with polarisation perpendicular to the ground plane. The antenna can replace whip antennas with one having less height and more robust design. |
