<p>It is intended to provide a method of appropriately evaluating an effect on a pharmacokinetic test or the like including a metabolism test of novel mfCYP2C and determining whether it is appropriate or not to use a monkey as a model animal. It is also intended to provide a method of selecting a monkey whose drug metabolism pattern is close to that of human and a method of producing a monkey whose drug metabolism pattern is close to that of human for the use as a model animal. By detecting the polymorphism of the novel mfCYP2C gene, a method of evaluating whether it is appropriate or not to conduct a test of pharmacokinetics, drug efficacy and/or safety for a drug candidate compound for human using a monkey as a model animal, a method of selecting a monkey whose drug metabolism pattern is close to that of human and a method of producing a monkey whose drug metabolism pattern is close to that of human for the use as a model animal are provided, and further, a model animal whose drug metabolism pattern is very close to that of human is provided.</p> |
