A method for storing and retrieving personal information adapted to improve the level of contentment of a user ( 30 ). A database ( 11 ) is provided, for storing therein and retrieving therefrom information that is related to sources of contentment. Each of the sources of contentment is associated with a different aspect of the user's life. Categories by which the information is to be stored in and retrieved from the database ( 11 ) are determined. The database ( 11 ) is updated by storing information that is related to a source of contentment. The information is stored in a unique location of the database and categorized according to a definition of each of the categories. The user ( 30 ) can access one or more unique locations of the database ( 11 ) in which categorized information of interest is stored. Upon receiving a request from the user ( 30 ), the categorized information of interest is transmitted and/or displayed to a user interface and reviewed.
