<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device of a vehicle door enabling reduction of size. <P>SOLUTION: The driving device has a sun gear 11 rotatably pivoted in a housing 5, a ring gear rotatably pivoted concentrically with the sun gear 11, a planetary carrier 13 pivoted concentrically with the sun gear, a plurality of planetary gears 14 pivoted to the planetary carrier 13 and engaged with the sun gear 11 and the ring gear, a motor 4 connected with a ring gear 12 and rotating the ring gear 12, an electromagnetic brake 8 imparting brake force to rotation of the sun gear 11, and an actuating member 9 connected with the planetary carrier 13 and related to a door and moving the door in the opening and closing direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
