PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine a failure of an ultrasonic endoscope easily. SOLUTION: A testing device for the ultrasonic endoscope which automatically carries out a check on a power source from a main body 5 of an ultrasound observation device to the ultrasonic endoscope 3 by a power source checking part 11, a check on transmission signals Tx and a 3D driving clock from the main body 5 to the ultrasonic endoscope 3 by a transmission signal checking part 13, a check on Phase A and Phase Z by an encoder checking part 14, a check on a scanner cord and a frequency cord from the ultrasonic endoscope 3 to the main body 5 by a cord checking part 15, and a check on position sensor signals from the endoscope 3 to the main body 5 by a position sensor signal checking part 19.
