PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a push-pull buffer amplifier and a source driver which achieve low dissipating power with a high charge/discharge rate. SOLUTION: In the buffer amplifier, an n-type comparator and a p-type comparator compare the input signal and the output signal. The first output terminal of the n-type comparator and that of the p-type comparator are respectively connected to the input terminal of a first inverter and that of a second inverter. A first transistor and a fourth transistor are respectively controlled by the second output terminal of the n-type comparator and by the output terminal of the second converter so that a first voltage line charges and a second voltage line discharge an output load. A second transistor and a third transistor are respectively controlled by the second output terminal of the p-type comparator and by the output terminal of the first converter so that the first voltage line charges and the second voltage line discharges the output load.
