<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a four way valve having simple construction for suppressing the occurrence of heat loss due to heat leakage between high temperature refrigerant and low temperature refrigerant when flowing adjacent to each other, improving heating/cooling capability, and preventing the overheat of refrigerant gas at the inlet of a compressor to improve the efficiency of a compressor, resulting in higher energy saving performance of an air conditioning system. <P>SOLUTION: The four way valve comprises a housing member 5 having a valve chest 51, a valve seat 6 having a seat portion 61 provided in the valve chest, first and second flow paths 1, 2 having mutually adjacent opening portions 1a, 2a in the seat portion of the valve seat for distributing high temperature fluid and low temperature fluid, respectively, at a certain time when drawn through the valve seat to the outside of the valve chest, and a valve element 7 to be moved relative to the seat portion of the valve seat. At a position between the first and second flow paths near their opening portions, a heat resistant portion 8 is formed for suppressing the movement of heat between the flow paths. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
