<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental metal wire having a superior aesthetic beauty, maximally exhibiting the mechanical performances of the metal wire for the orthodontics and a dental corrective device, capable of shortening a treatment time, and being mounted on a patient with allergy to metal, and to provide a method for forming a thin film on a dental metal appliance, and the dental metal wire and the dental appliance formed with the thin film by the method. <P>SOLUTION: This metal wire used for orthodontics is formed by providing a ceramic thin film formed by accelerating fine particles of material powder selected from titanium-oxide-based or calcium-phosphate-based ceramic and/or alumina or zirconia aerosolized in an aerosolizing chamber, through a fine nozzle; irradiating a high-speed ultrafine particle flow formed of the ceramic material having the grain size of within a range of 10 nm-5μm on the surface of an object; simultaneously therewith, moving the object relatively to the ultrafine particle flow while moving and rotating the object; and forming the thin film of the ultrafine particles on the object. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
