PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain satisfactory optical characteristics by reducing aberration caused by inclination of an optical disk and inclination of an incident light beam. SOLUTION: An optical pickup 6 for recording and/or reproducing information to the optical disk 2 is provided with a light source 41 for emitting a light beam of a prescribed wavelength, an objective lens 27 for focusing the optical beam emitted from the light source 41 on a signal recording face of the optical disk, an inclination means 8 for inclining the objective lens 27, and an optical detector 44 for detecting return light reflected by the optical disk 2. A proportional constant (k) of the inclination of the objective lens 27 based on the optical disk 2 to the inclination of the light beam incident to the objective lens 27 based on the optical disk 2 is within a prescribed range.
