COMPOSITE WOODY STRUCTURAL MATERIAL AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite woody structural material capable of developing an excellent refractory capacity. SOLUTION: The composite woody structural material is constituted by laminating a plurality of laminated lumber, each of which is obtained by laminating a plurality of single materials comprising wood or a different kind of materials to bond the adjacent single materials. One laminated lumber 2 and the other laminated lumber 6 are laminated so that the joined part 5 between the single materials 4 and 4 of one adjacent laminated lumber 2 and the joined part 9 between the single materials 8 and 8 of the other laminated lumber 6 are not positioned on the same line. The contact surface with one laminated lumber 2 of the other laminated lumber 6 functions as a barrier surface 6a for blocking off the flame from one laminated lumber 2 and blocks off the flame and heat from one laminated lumber 2 when one laminated lumber 2 is burnt by a fire to prevent the spread of the fire to the other laminated lumber 6.
