<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft magnetic material which has a recrystallized structure applicable to a highly reliable magnetic circuit withstanding impact and vibrations at high speed driving and combines high saturation magnetic flux density, high electric resistivity, and low coercive force. <P>SOLUTION: This soft magnetic material has a chemical composition comprised of, by mass, <0.05% (including 0%) C, 0.10 to 1.0% Mn, 25.0 to <30.0% Co, 1.0 to <4.0%, in total, of either or both of V and Cr, 1.0 to 4.0%, in total, of either or both of Al and Si, and the balance substantially Fe. The soft magnetic material has a recrystallized structure and also has ≥1.6T magnetic flux density B<SB>4000</SB>at 4,000 A/m magnetic field, ≥0.50 μΩm electric resistivity ρ, and ≤100 A/m coercive force H<SB>c</SB>.
