<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power reduction method of peripheral equipment which can efficiently reduce power consumption during standby time. <P>SOLUTION: As the power control method in the peripheral equipment connected to a host device through a communication interface and a communication network, the peripheral equipment has a control step at which the action of the communication interface is controlled at every prescribed time interval in a standby condition where no action is requested by the host device, and the timing of performing the control step differs from the timing of performing the control step similarly performed in other peripheral equipment existing on the communication network. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
