<p>Disclosed herein is a fenestrated contact lens adapted for use in orthokeratology, which can treat myopia, without the side effects of conventional orthokeratology contact lenses, that is, corneal edema, lens adhesion and lens decentration. The lens is composed of a central portion (30), a fitting portion (32), a fixing portion (34), and a peripheral portion (36). One or more fen estrations (40) are provided in the fixing portion 34 so as to supply oxygen to the cornea 10, thereby eliminating lens adhesion, pain and corneal edema. Also, the fenestrations contact the conjunctiva at one side 42 thereof while being in contact with the cornea 10 at the other side 44, so that the decentration of the lens can be prevented to keep the vision improvement effect.</p> |
