PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-cycle engine of simple constitution with a low exhaust gas value. SOLUTION: The two-cycle engine is provided with a cylinder 2 forming a combustion chamber 3 partitioned by a reciprocating piston 5; a fuel supply device for supplying fuel, and an air passage 15 for supplying combustion air; and an exhaust port 10 for exhausting exhaust gas from the combustion chamber 3, wherein the air passage 15, a piston pocket 18 and conveying passages 11, 13 form one air passage, and the air passage is constituted to distribute air almost equally to the conveying passages 11, 13.
