<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye-sensitized solar cell in which electrolyte liquid hardly leaks and stable current and voltage characteristics are demonstrated, and internal short circuit due to deformation of the battery hardly occurs. <P>SOLUTION: As for the dye-sensitized solar cell, the electrolyte layer comprises a porous support and an electrolytic liquid filled up in the porous support, and the porous support satisfies any one of the following physical properties. (1) A thickness is 3 μm or more and 40 μm or less and a porosity is 40% or more and 70% or less. (2) A thickness is 3 μm or more and 20 μm or less and a porosity is 30% or more and less than 40%.
