A detachable fastening (6) is designed suitably to hold a wiper (3) near one edge (2) of the wall (1) forming part of the covering. The fastening has a head with a first diameter, a shaft (8) of a second diameter and a base (9) of a third diameter. First and third diameters are greater than or equal to the second diameter. The wiper has an opening with a cross section permitting the foot to pass through, or preventing this, in accordance with the location of the fastener. The wiper includes an intermediate component (4) and a resilient wiping component. The intermediate component and resilient wiper are detachably connected by interference or interlocking. The dovetail profile of these components engages with the foot profile, which is conical in form and which is elaborated in greater detail. The fastening, in metal and/or plastic (preferably plastic), has rigidity and/or partial resilience. Further variants and details of the design are provided. The telescopic covering comprises a number of the assemblies described, sliding within one another.
