An antenna cage (1) acts a counting device and is shaped as a cube with antenna rods along the edges and along the diagonals of the cube. An antenna device (4) has several antenna plates (5-6'). There are connections (13,13') to a multiplexer (10). There are further connections (14,14') to a second multiplexer (15). The individual goods pieces (2) have electronic markers (3) e.g. RFID tags. The multiplexers are connected to a central control circuit (7), which is connected to a counter (16) with an electronic numerical display (17).
