PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relax the dimensional accuracy of a roll, to prevent damages to a member with which the rollers are in contact, and to restrain warpage in a transfer roller. SOLUTION: The transfer device 64M comprises the cylindrical transfer roller 101M formed from an ion conductive elastic member; a roller rotation shaft 102M projecting from both axial ends of the transfer roller 101M; bearings 103M rotatably supporting the roller rotation shaft 102M at both axial ends of the transfer roller 101M; pressing springs 104M, disposed at both axial ends of the transfer roller 101M and pressing the roller rotation shaft 102M via the bearings 103M in a direction in which the transfer roller 101M presses a photoreceptor drum 51M; and cylindrical rolls 105M, each of which is disposed on the roller rotation shaft 102M opposite from the transfer roller 101M with the corresponding bearing 103M in between them.
