PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive stirring device easy in its maintenance and a non-ferrous metal melting furnace with the stirring device. SOLUTION: This stirring device comprises a heat-proof container 102 and a rotary magnetic body 20 rotatably stored inside of the heat-proof container 102, a hollow rotating shaft 22 is fixed to the rotary magnetic body in a state of being penetrated therethrough, the rotary magnetic body is rotatably mounted in the heat-proof container by the rotating shaft, one end of the hollow rotating shaft is penetrated through the heat-proof container and opened to the outside air so that the cooling air can be supplied therein from the external, further the heat-proof container has a discharge opening for discharging the supplied air to the external, and the rotary magnetic body is magnetized in such a state that different magnetic poles are alternately arranged along an outer periphery around the rotating shaft. One or more stirring devices are installed in the non-ferrous metal melting furnace, or installed adjacent to an outer side of a furnace wall of the non-ferrous metal melting furnace.
