PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device which can keep visibility of auxiliary information, even at high-speed reproduction. SOLUTION: A means for changing method of displaying or notifying auxiliary information according to a reproduction rate is provided. By reducing the amount of display or notification of the auxiliary information the faster the reproduction rate becomes, the more the auxiliary information displayed or notified per time is reduced, and visibility is kept.
