Lock for a movable vehicle roof

The roof has at least two parts (2,3) displaceable between stowed open and closed positions by a roof mechanism and a locking device for locking at least one roof part against a bounding component. The locking device has a control rod (24) arranged along the roof with at least one axle in the transition region between the two parts, as does the roof mechanism. The axles are coaxially arranged between the successive roof parts with the locking device open.
