A composite article is provided which comprises a silicone rubber matrix reinforced with polyaramid textile. The polyaramid textile is bonded to the silicone rubber by a bonding composition which comprises at least an acryloxy organosilane. The article is manufactured by dipping polyaramid textile into an organosilane dip which comprises an acryloxy organosilane. The so-dipped polyaramid textile is then bonded to silicone rubber.
