<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip for an automobile capable of excellently insulating sound between a hollow seal part of the weather strip and a car body opening part peripheral edge without increasing the force for closing a car body opening part opening/closing member. <P>SOLUTION: The weather strip 10 for an automobile for sealing between the car body opening part opening/closing member and the car body opening part peripheral edge of an automobile has a mounting base 11 and a seal part integrally formed with the mounting base 11 to seal between the car body opening part opening/closing member and the car body opening part peripheral edge. The seal part has a hollow seal part 14, and a hollow seal bridge part 15 continued from the mounting base to the inner wall surface of the hollow seal part in a part thereof abutting on the car body opening part peripheral edge is formed inside the hollow of the hollow seal part.
