<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a supporting member interposed between a hinge and housing of a foldable electronic appliance, and to prevent the distortion of its housing. <P>SOLUTION: The foldable electronic appliance 1 has a first housing 3, a second housing 2, a supporting member 12 so joined to the first housing 3 as to be integrated with it, a hinge 11 rotating around a rotational axis 9 and for supporting in a rotatable way the second housing 2 on the supporting member 12, and a component 14 having a predetermined strength. The component 14 is so joined to the inside of the first housing 3 as to be integrated with it. In this case, the distortion of the first housing 3 of the foldable electronic appliance 1 can be so prevented by joining the component 14 to the first housing 3 as to be able to prevent the faultiness of other electronic appliances stored in the first housing 3. Further, the supporting member 12 is not required to be disposed lengthily in a direction A vertical to the rotational axis 9 in order to prevent the distortion of the first housing 3, and the supporting member 12 can be shortened in the direction A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
