PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor in which processing timing can be set appropriately. SOLUTION: The image processor 100 comprises a compressing section 104 for receiving image data obtained by reading an image while splitting and generating encoded data by compressing the image data, a buffer memory 112 for storing encoded data being outputted from the compressing section 104, and a section 114 for decompressing the encoded data stored in the buffer memory 112 at a timing dependent on the volume of image data being inputted to the compressing section 104.
