PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent heat loss of a fan motor of a warm air fan in a fireplace type heater allowing visual observation of the inside of a combustion case through a window part opened in a front panel of an outer case 1 and blowing indoor air from an air intake opened in the outer case, indoors from a blast port 8 in the lower part of the front panel through a heat exchanger disposed part on the rear side of the combustion case and a lower space of the combustion case from the warm air fan by disposing the warm air fan above the combustion case. SOLUTION: A partition plate 19 partitioning a cavity 19a communicating with the disposed part of a heat exchanger 6, between itself and an upper face of the combustion case 2 is disposed above the combustion case 2. The warm air fan 9 is mounted on the partition plate 19 so that its blowoff port 9d faces a part directly above the disposed part of the heat exchanger 6, and the lower face of the partition plate 19 is provided with a flow dividing plate 20 for leading a part of air blown out of the blowoff port 9d, to the cavity 19a.
