PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit a motion image with smooth movement even if a network communication state aggravates. SOLUTION: A camera unit includes a camera which photographs a subject and outputs image data, a data reduction part 151 which reduces the amount of the data of the image data, a compression part 154 for generating compressed data in which either image data outputted by the camera or image data reduced in data volume is inputted, and the inputted image data are compressed for compression coding; an image data ring buffer 125 for transmitting which stores sequentially the compression data which the compression part 154 outputs; a LAN controller connected to a network; an output control unit 156 which reads the data to order stored from the image data ring buffer 125 for transmitting, and outputs to the LAN controller; a communication state monitoring part 152 which detects the communication state of the network; and a switching part 153 which switches the image data inputted into the compression part 154, in response to the communication state detected by the communication state monitoring part 152.
