<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device which can be operated easily and is capable of inexpensively preventing unauthorized use of a card by a third party, and reading the information of the card in any region of the display screen, and a reading method using the electronic device. <P>SOLUTION: The device comprises a display part 2 that has a display screen 2h in which reading elements are arranged full-screen.
