<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst in which the usage of a noble metal is reduced and the activity of which after an endurance test is made high, to provide a method for manufacturing the catalyst, and a catalyst for cleaning exhaust gas, whose cleaning performance of exhaust gas is improved. <P>SOLUTION: This catalyst has a carrier 2 formed from a porous oxide containing alumina, a barrier layer 3 arranged on the carrier 2, and a noble metal particle 5 at least a part of whose surface is covered with a fixed layer 4 and which is arranged on the barrier layer 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
