PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method which enables the formation of the coating film with a coating while whitening by damaging even the surface of a transparent material to be coated (substrate) made of a synthetic resin or keeping the transparency of the material to be coated when applying the coating included in a nonaqueous solvent. SOLUTION: In the coating method for forming the coating film by coating the surface of the material 1 to be coated made of plastics with the nonaqueous solvent containing the coating 3 by a spray method or a brush painting method, the amount of the coating per unit area of the nonaqueous solvent containing the coating 3 coating the material 1 to be coated is gradually increased to overcoat it two or more times.
