PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steam turbine having a steam turbine structure capable of reducing steam leakage loss caused by a space between a nozzle diaphragm and a rotor or a space between a spacer and a moving blade. SOLUTION: The steam turbine is constituted by a rotor 1 having the moving blade 2; split type nozzle diaphragms 8 and 8' split to the peripheral direction so as to retain a stationary blade 5; ring shaped inner casings 9, 9', 9'' and 9''' split along a rotor axial direction for each of steps, fixed at the time of assembly by a stack bolt 10 and retaining the nozzle diaphragm; and an outer casing 7 housing and retaining the inner casings. The inner casing is in the shape of the ring, and a flange part is not formed, and thereby thermal deformation along the peripheral direction is uniformed, and as a result, the space between the nozzle diaphragm and the rotor can be adjusted to be narrower.
