PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a flatness of a printing paper at a printing part while the whole printer is made compact in the printer which uses the printing paper curled by curling tendency. SOLUTION: A curl correcting device is set on the halfway of a transferring path for transferring the printing paper P set in a paper setting part to the printing part. The curl correcting device has a first pair of rollers 33 arranged at an upstream side and a second pair of rollers 41 arranged at its downstream side. The printing paper P is turned into a loop of a predetermined shape between the first and the second pair of the rollers 33 and 41 by lowering a rotating speed of the second pair of the rollers 41 more than a rotating speed of the first pair of the rollers 33.
