PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method of an earth retaining wall capable of firmly and quickly constructing an earth retaining wall friendly to an environment at a low cost, and a cylindrical reinforcement cage used therefor. SOLUTION: The cylindrical reinforcement cage 1 is equipped with a group of vertical reinforcements composed of a plurality of vertical reinforcements arranged in a cylindrical-shape, a group of cylindrical reinforcements composed of a plurality of circular reinforcements fixed along the outer circumference of a group of the vertical reinforcements. The construction method of the earth retaining wall is composed of an installation process installing the cylindrical reinforcement cage 1 in the shape of a colonnade along a slope B and installing in the slope B so that both side ends of th circular reinforcements of the adjoining cylindrical reinforcement cage 1 can be intersected with each other, an interconnecting process interconnecting the adjoining cylindrical reinforcement cages 1 with each other and a filling process filling an inner filler 4 from the upper part of the cylindrical reinforcement cage 1.
