PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply position a counterweight at a mounting position of an upper part swivel body. SOLUTION: This mounting structure for the counterweight in construction machinery is constituted in such a way that a swivel body side mounting part 11 and a weight side mounting part 21 are provided in a rear part of the upper part swivel body 3 loaded on a lower part running body and the counterweight 20, respectively, and the counterweight 20 is lifted behind the upper part swivel body 3 and is attached by both mounting parts 11, 21 at a weight mounting position 7 in a rear part of the upper part swivel body 3. This mounting structure is provided with positioning means (a positioning recessed part 13, a positioning pin hole 25, and a positioning pin 27) for positioning the counterweight 20 at the weight mounting position 7 by regulating rise and travel of the counterweight 20 when mounting the counterweight 20.
